Hey to everyone who remembers me,

Its been several years... I'm guessing about 4 since I spoke to anyone here last. Just wanted to see how everyone was doing, as I really had a lot of fun with everyone on these forums. Sorry to anyone wondering about my mysterious disappearance, it's a really really really long story. So let me know how you're doing because this forum popped into my head today.

Hey, it's been a while! The forum has been kept alive by occasional drama and the random returns of old members, so... it's basically the same as ever.

I've continued along the programmer/ game designer path and and took some classes to that extent this summer.

What are you doing?

That's good to hear man. Are you still working on that Maelstrom project? I'd love to see some of your work. As for myself, I've cleaned up a lot. I hit rock bottom about a year ago, I was heavily involved in drugs but went to rehab and now am at a much better place. I've just basically been grinding to get through school and focusing on getting into a good school. I'm still really into music and have progressed a lot. I now have a ton of connections to some major pros (Leland Sklar - google him, Jonathan Davis from Korn, Billy Joe from Greenday, Brandon Saller from Atreyu). So I'm still plugging away on the guitar hoping that someday something will come of it. I'm deciding of pursuing a career of either a recording artist (or producer) or a performance automotive technician. I'll either be working in a studio doing what I love or working on high end cars like Ferrari's, Lamborghini's and other high performance applications. It's great to hear from you Hampster

That's awesome! I remember when you sent me some of your band's stuff... a song called the Ninth Hour, I think.

Ah, Maelstrom. I basically hoped that the game would make its self while I posted on forums about how great it would be. I've matured a lot since then, decided not to attempt such a huge project by myself. I had some bad luck with two potential opportunities (a flash game and an iPhone game) that were cancelled by their leads. This summer I definitely got better at programming and now I'm working on something by myself which may evolve into a game, it's a (hopefully) portable implementation of an esoteric but awesome method of 3d rendering. Maybe I'll call it Maelstrom.

Also, Leland Sklar has the best beard ever. How do you know him!?

I'm somehow doubting your connections, since Green Day does not have a band member named Billy Joel, but does have one named Billy Joe Armstrong. Not trying to be a dick or anything

And warhampster I know him because my father's co-worker is his neice. He's a veerrrryyy cool guy. Plus he does, infact, have the most awesome beard ever.

Ahhh... the days of coming home from school and battling the latest forum crisis. I would have like 10 IM windows open of people informing me that the site was being spammed/ hacked.
